Nigel studied Automotive Engineering and Design at Loughborough University, and started his career as an engineer with Rover Triumph, Leyland Cars, and Aston Martin Lagonda, before heading the special vehicle division of Aston Martin Tickford. He progressed to senior sales, product marketing and general management roles with manufacturers of motorhomes, motor yachts and holiday homes.
Latterly he spent 10 years as COO of Luke Hughes, the bespoke furniture design studio and manufacturer, delivering major projects in the UK, China and USA.
He has always applied strong engineering principles to achieve high quality and long-lasting value and this remains his ethos in the development and commercialisation of Airshield.
